Why Everyone Needs A Makeover
Whether or not you enjoy watching others get makeovers on television, it?s almost certain that you are due for a makeover yourself. How do I know? Because everyone needs a makeover from time to time. Makeovers keep your look fresh and youthful, and undergoing a makeover also helps you to discover new looks and styles you didn?t realize looked amazing on you.
The Annual Makeover
If you ask anyone who works in the fashion industry, they will tell you that the majority of fashions are annual or even seasonal. Little tweaks and new fabrics make what?s trendy this season totally outdated by next season. To you, that means the fun items you loved at the beginning of school last year are no longer going to cut it in the high school hallways this year.
Already you likely enjoy elements of a makeover right before school starts after a summer break. You probably go shopping for new clothes and possibly pick up a new eyeshadow and lip gloss to mark such a special occasion. If you?re addressing your lips and eyes, why not tackle you entire self ? inside and out ? at least once a year?
External Makeovers
Invite a friend over to enjoy working on entirely new yous together. Flip through magazines or website to get ideas about new haircuts and cool colors to try. Then use makeover games online to practice new make up techniques and see just how to work a new hairstyle before you actually head to the salon.
If you find it challenging to make a dramatic change, it?s not necessary to do so. You should examine all of your style elements and when you realize that you don?t look as great as you could, it might be time for some layers or perhaps some bangs to make the old you just a little bit more updated.
Internal Makeovers
Of course, your outside isn?t the only part of you that needs consideration during a makeover. Makeover games can show you what your outside will look like after a change, but only experience and paying attention to your emotions and thoughts can tell you how your insides will change.
Self confidence is an interesting animal. Some people can be dressed in paper bags and still project absolute certainty that they look and feel great. Others, or really the rest of us, need to know that we look good before we?re willing strut our stuff down a hallway full of friends and maybe a few enemies.
During your makeover, pay attention to what feels good and what feels awkward. If you don?t feel comfortable in hot pink pants, you might just be uncomfortable trying something new. Put them aside and see how you feel in other new styles. If you feel odd in everything new, you?ll need to take some time to open yourself up to new ideas and styles. If, however, you love everything you try on except those pink pants, no matter how great they look on, skip them ? it?s unlikely you?ll ever wear them when you get home.
